Bored to do anything.
These days have been pretty boring to me, exams are just 2 weeks away, life is pretty much boring these days, with the stress of the working at the forensic appointment and managing my day with selfish and antisocial batch mates. I’ve tried to post at least single blog post everyday but ran out of ideas so thought of posting a more personal note today.
One of the fun things that’s floating around the university these days is a sex scandal where a guy has accidentally posted a photo in to his facebook account the should not have been made public. By the time the guy found out that there was such a photo being posted it was too late and too many people have seen it already. The guy puts the blame on photo syncing between his phone and Facebook but who knows what really happened.
The heat wave going through the country is pretty amazing, it’s really hot during the day time to do anything. It just drains your energy out. Make sure to drink lots of fluids (especially water, not carbonic drinks) that will help you to feel better.
Today I read this pretty amazing post about Facebook buying Oculus rift, basically today is the first time I heard it. It’s basically “a virtual reality headset – yeah, virtual reality as in "Total Recall” virtual reality – designed specifically for gaming" - Huffington post. But still from what I read the technology is pretty amazing. At this time it’s still under development kind of technology so I don’t think we’ll see Oculus rift anytime soon.
It’ll be good to see that there is competition for Oculus rift with Sony trying to developing a similar device that will compete with it, with the backing of PS4 Sony can give a run for Oculus rift’s money.
However these days it’s pretty much boring to do anything for me, no interest in learning code, there are lots of movies in my laptop rotting waiting to be watched, just don’t have any interest in watching, I know I should enjoy my life because if not the stress of college will take over me, but still there is no interest in doing anything enjoyable.
Past few days I got to know some really cool journalists that work via twitter. However I’m surprised to hear that a freelance journalist gets around 600 bucks for an article. Journalism has been one of my favourite jobs that I always wanted. Not just a normal journalism but an investigative kind of journalism.
However I’m really surprised about the lack of media coverage getting abou the united nations human rights council progress involving Sri Lanka, at least in the news websites because I don’t get a chance to watch news on TV. Republic square and very few websites has talked about the human rights council and media is more interested about the MH370 flight (yah still they can’t stop milking the story)
